Special Meeting - Lack of a Quorum

The RIH BOE Special Meeting announced for tonight, August 23, did not take place due to a lack of a quorum. BOE members Sullivan, Ansh, Mariani and Emmolo were present. BOE members Bogdansky, DeLaite, King, Koulikourdis, and Lorenz were not present. The Superintendent, Dr. Rui Dionisio, was also not present. With 5 of 9 Board members absent, a meeting could not take place.

I expect that the agenda items for this meeting (accepting Dr. Dionisio's resignation and a discussion about use of 'professional service firms' to conduct a Superintendent Search), will be on the agenda at the BOE meeting on Monday August 28th. The meeting on the 28th is also the meeting where the 2023-2024 Curriculum will be discussed. Come prepared, it will likely be a long meeting.
