We are being told that because the Supporting our Students candidates (Helen Koulikourdis, Aaron Lorenz and John Kinney) are using the same color signs and using similar language in their campaign messaging, that they are not independent thinkers and will be a ‘block". Anyone who has watched RIH BOE meetings, knows that Helen, Aaron and John are NOT the same person, each does their own critical thinking, unique skills set and each brings an independent viewpoint to the Board.

John is a businessman and former CEO, Helen is a hospital administrator (with an undergraduate degree in elementary education) and Aaron is a college dean with 30 years or experience in higher education. Each of them is also a parent of children currently in our high schools. Each has a lengthy record of community service in different sectors of our community. Each has a record of serving on our Board of Education, supporting our district administration and students, protecting our taxpayers, and is knowledgable about how to be a board member.

Their opponents, Marianna Emmolo, Caryn Nash and Joe Valenti, while using different signs, are all endorsed by a group called "The New Jersey Project". Several of the current majority Board members were also endorsed by The New Jersey Project. (Talk about a voting block!)

The New Jersey Project, classified as an anti-government group, publishes a newsletter titled “Chaos and Control.” Locally, supporters of Emmolo, Nash, and Valenti have backed harmful board decisions, used social media, and taken to the board table to spread false and misleading narratives. Their agenda has fueled division, politicized our board meetings, and continues to harm our community and schools.

Don’t be fooled. They are coming with an agenda.

We’ve had enough Chaos and Control in our district. Please cast your vote for the Regional Board of Education knowledgeably.
