Board Vice President Kim Ansh Compares Schools to 'Psychiatric Institutions' in Mental Health Debate—Watch the Shocking Exchange

Here is a link to a portion of the July 24th RIH BOE meeting in which Kim Ansh explains why she will not vote for three mental health programs. Kim compares our schools to "psychiatric institutions.” This is followed by Vivian King expressing concern about Kim’s comments. Kim Ansh responds by trivializing mental health issues, comparing them to a toothache and a migraine, and states "Enough is Enough."

Vivian King, shocked by these comments, again expresses her concern. This is then followed by Aaron Lorenz sharing his viewpoint, stating “there’s no such thing as too much mental health.”
