Board Settles with Dr. Tarchichi for a Quarter of a Million Dollars: A Continued Misuse of Taxpayer Funds and Further Draining of Education Resources

At the August 26th RIH BOE meeting, the Board voted on a secretive Settlement Agreement which was not available to the public.

As I speculated, it has been confirmed that the Settlement Agreement was with Dr. Tarchichi, the Superintendent who was hired by a unanimous vote of the Board at a Special Meeting on May 28, and terminated (contract rescinded) by the Board majority (Ansh, Emmolo, Kiel, Mariani and Souders), at another Special Meeting on June 27th.

The Settlement Agreement agrees to pay Dr. Tarchichi a lump sump sum of $245,000 in taxpayer funds, funds which could have gone to our students' education. (This does not include the legal fees spent to negotiate Dr. Tarchichi's contract, and then to rescind it and negotiate the settlement).

It’s time to flip the RIH BOE, and spend our taxpayer monies on EDUCATION and NOT on Legal Bills and Financial Settlements necessitated by the incompetence of the Board majority.

Most of the agreement has been redacted by the Board, however the name and dollar amount can be seen here on pages 1 and 2:
