Agenda for the April 8th RIH BOE Meeting Including $100k in Salary Increases & More

The next meeting of the RIH BOE is tomorrow, April 8th at 8pm at the Ramapo High School Cafeteria.
The agenda includes the reassignment of Supervisors to newly created district wide positions. Salaries for the new positions are marked “TBD”. It was stated in a previous meeting that the creation of these new positions will cost the district $100,000. There were no new hires and no increase in existing staff, so this is presumably raises for existing staff which were “negotiated” without the Board’s involvement. We will need to await a ratified contract to see where the $100,000 was spent.
The agenda also includes approval of 14 tuition paying students (one student paying $24K, 2 students paying $4.7K and 11 students paying 0), approval of 2 HIB recommendations at Ramapo, a revised Calendar (no details posted about what was revised), approval of a lease for a cell phone tower, and a first read of changes to 21 Policies.
